Believe in it. Open to it. A lot of times members ask “what do I write” or “I don’t know what to write about.” Really it’s up to the artist. Don’t let anyone dictate what it is that you should write about. Trust in yourself and in your ability. Your gift will do the rest. We all possess it. Only thing is, not all of use it in the best of our ability.
Trust in your gift and believe the music will take you just where you need to be. Here is some advice that could help your craft and career.

Words Have Power. My mother used to say that to me. I never quite understood what she meant until I sold my first record. Of course she used to always say it around the times when I was young, always around the time I had just made a friend or someone cry. I’ve seen the most gangster dude break down and cry because of the power of words. We go to church just to receive the word. For some of us it helps us by giving us strength, or faith and hope. Words have Power.
President Obama is known for having created some of history’s greatest speeches. Martin Luther King’s “Free At Last” speech will undoubtedly go down in history as one of the greatest speeches. He moved a whole country with his words. Words Have Power. Tupac and Biggie were great lyricist who captured emotions and painted pictures with mere lyrics. The pen is truly greater than the sword. Even in death their words live on. Words Have Power.
